EUR/USD: understand the market.
Understand the euro against the US dollar, explore related news and put currency and spread costs in context.

Read the quotation
EUR/USD expresses the US dollars quoted for one euro. A rise means the euro buys more dollars; a fall means it buys fewer. A currency conversion and a leveraged trading contract are different products.
A simple numerical example
Illustrative only: at 1.10 USD per EUR, EUR 1,000 equals USD 1,100 before fees. This is not a current rate or an executable quote.
What to follow — and why
- Compare euro-area and US monetary-policy expectations, rather than looking at one interest rate alone.
- Read inflation, employment and growth releases alongside their dates and the expectations that preceded them.
- Liquidity and changing risk appetite can affect both the exchange rate and the spread offered by a provider.
Useful next steps
The existing spread calculator covers a specific UK EUR/USD spread-only CFD scenario. It is not a total-cost estimate or a recommendation.
- Currency conversion & exchange-cost comparison
- EUR/USD spread-cost scenario
- Understand the documented broker conditions — not a list of providers confirmed to offer EUR/USD.
